Organic Impact is an organization which works to create a positive impact on the environment through organic agriculture and self-sustainable living. We work to educate farmers and home gardeners regarding the dangers that synthetic fertilizers and pesticides pose to us and the environment. We also offer our services to those in need of installation or maintenance of home gardens, farms, hydroponic systems or floating gardens.
Plants grown organically have higher levels of minerals and contain more phytochemicals (including carotenoids and polyphenols) which plants produce to defend themselves against pests and diseases. Many of these phytochemicals have important antioxidant, antiinflammitory and other beneficial effects in humans. Plants forced to defend themselves produce between 10 percent and 50 percent more phytochemicals then plants grown with synthetic fertilizers and pesticides.*
